Sports Achievements

- Marjum Memorial Public School participated in the District Level Foot Ball Tournament for School Students.

- The School Foot Ball team entered in the Semi-Final of the Siang Districts Youth Festival Foot Ball Tournament organized by SFS College in the month of November 2018.

- One of the girls (Isha Kumari) represented the District in Taekwondo.

- One boy of Class X (Taju) was selected for in the state level under 16 Football team and went up to shilling to play.

Teachers Training

Teachers Training Programmme (1st & 2nd of June 2018):

Teachers Training Programme was organized for the Teachers of Marjum Memorial Public School from 1st and 2nd of June 2018. Some teachers from the neighbouring Schools also joined for the training. The training was organized under the able guidance and leadership of Mr Anjan Choudhury of Indian Skills Academy from Guwahati. The training basically evolved around New Skills in Teaching and Class Room Management. The training was very beneficial and useful. The resource person is well experienced and qualified in this area. Most of the teachers had a positive vibe after the program.

PTA

First PTA Meeting:

On 04th (Saturday) of August 2018, the first PTA Meeting was held in the School hall. Many parents turned up for the meeting. Various issues were discussed regarding the growth of the students. An important decision during the PTA meeting was about the internal exams. Many felt that 2 exams per day was too taxing for the students. So they requested the Management to arrange one exam per day. They also requested not to allow any strangers to come inside the School Campus and requested to arrange gate keeper. Both this request were passed.

2nd Meeting was held on 8th December:

One main decision the PTA passed during this meeting was not to increase the School Fee in the coming Academic Year 2019-20.

Details Of Curriculam

Education is meant both for personal promotion and social Promotion. Education has an inclusive social value. Educators should be agents of social change. Our education is meant to prepare the students to prepare himself or herself to fit as smoothly as possible into the existing society and to make them a law abiding citizen. A student should be aware that what he or she studies will affect the community. The student is also responsible for the community. He or she belongs to it and also benefit from it.

    In view of preparing the students to face the basic challenges of society and to make them contribute positively towards it we have framed the curriculum. The School basically follows lessons and academic content prescribed by the CBSE for its course and program. Special care is given for Character formation, Language, Scientific thinking, field study. There is special course for spoken English. General Knowledge is also part of the curriculum given the present demands and challenges of education.

PTA Activities

As a part of PTA gathering a 1 hour Seminar was organized for all the parents on the theme, “Parenting”. It was well received by the parents. Many shared the view that they got new insights to deal with the in the changing times.

- Many parents participated in the Inauguration of Annual Sports and Games Week.

- Many parents participated in the Inter-school cultural competition which was held in our School. Our School won the championship.
